Friendly staff and quick service! Excellent management, one could tell they care to provide good service to their customers with the waiters all helping out each other doesn't matter which table number. And the manager did his rounds twice to see if the customers are satisfied. Well done Clear WaterSpur!

Perfectly located on the main beach, this outlet of Spur is the ideal place to have lunch or a milkshake while spending a day on the beach. The staff is very welcoming and the restaurant is busy, but there's always room for more. The food is up to standard. The restaurant is also quite involved in the community, supporting the local charity and having entertainment over school holidays.

In peak December holiday season we were seating off a waiting list in less than 15 minutes, which was impressive. We got a table for two at the window with a view of Amanzimtoti main beach and went about our Unreal breakfast and bottomless coffee. A humble experience, great value for money and really predicable - you know what you're going to get. Pity the windows weren't washed - it would've made the view better, but clean windows don't last long so close to the salt spray off the beach.

We decided to head to the beach and have a dip in the warm Indian Ocean. We were feeling rather peckish and as this Spur is right on the beach, we decided to have a light lunch. We had wet hair, sand intertwined between our toes and had all of our beach gear in hand. They did not mind, in fact they had a little giggle and told us to stop worrying. We decided to sit on their upper deck because it had marvelous views of the beach. It was quite relaxing listening to the waves crashing in the di...

The kalamari and chips are very delicious and crispy. The sea view makes it more romantic and the music very classical.

I thought to myself as we walked into Spur, just another family spur. I was so mistaken, we were greeted by smiles and that was the first thing that put me at ease. after being shown to our seat near the play area, kids order taken and our drinks ordered. all the kids wanted to do was to and play as they had seen several other friends there. We were advised of the specials for the day and recommended ideas. when ourfood arrived, what a surprise I could actually smell the aromas from out plates, that does not happen often. The manager on duty also came round to ask how there food is, and what did it for me, is that he hung back until we were between mouthfuls to find out how we are enjoying our meal. that was the deal cruncher, not been ask if all was ok whenoith of food is full. the service the timing of staff was regular but not intrusive. The menu was given to us for desert, but sadly we declined. the portion of food received did not allow us room for anything more. the payment was perfectly archostrated from Bill to paying and collecting my loyalty points. And don't forget the smiles all the way to the door .

I enjoyed a big, hearty meal in the Spur on the recommendation of a local. He seemed bemused that I had never heard of Spur before as they are a big chain in South Africa but we don't have them at home.
It was a lovely steakhouse with lots of chicken dishes as well as the steaks and all the usual fare you'd expect from this type of cuisine; ribs, wings, onion rings, fries et al.
Gourmet it is not but you'll eat well here all the same and for a decent price. Service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. A good option if you're in the area of Amanzimtoti.
