Montrose Night Challenge

Upcoming event: 31 January - 13 March 2020

The Spur Montrose Night Challenge Tournament launched on the 25th January 2019 at Montrose Primary School, Sandton.

As title sponsor, Spur was proud as always to be associated with this spirited event. 16 school cricket teams and 25 school netball teams will battle it out over seven consecutive Fridays for the championship title.

Three development cricket teams and one development netball team will take part in this signature Spur schools’ sporting event. The development teams comprised the best players from Soweto, Alexandra, Kagiso and Lenasia. Remarkably, this year, the tournament will be in its 16th year running as the momentum and interest from schools continues to spur it on to new heights each year. The event also draws thousands of spectators and families annually, all cheering on their favourite teams. The finals will be held on 16th March. Spur is proud to be bringing people together over this great sporting event, creating outstanding memories!
